9/11/2009：food and beverage

yoyo.. this is my 1st practical exam..

food and beverage practical is all about service..

which is all of the student learn how to becum the server in

the fine dining restaurant.. i like this subject so muc^^

haha... so.. i have a lot of confidence on it..

the 1st time is our apearance.. need to makeup properly..

haiz.. this make me feel so suffer lo... i dun like

to use eye shadow and lipstick.. yer.. T.T

but that day my eye shadow is did by my dear assistant

which is ms. tan kai nin... haha.. also known as NIn Nin

after apearance.. then will be the setting of the table..

one person chose a table among the 4 tables..

then on the table will hav a piece of paper that write the menu

then u need to set the table according to the menu u get..^^

and it is time limited.. which is only 25 minutes....

this part of cause i can do it.. jus i duno the marks i get..

nex part is my service sequences.. i chose the paper on the table

each paper have different task to complete..

the task i have chosen is clearing the starter..

which means i need to clear their starter plates and cutlery..

haha... this task not easy but not difficult too la..

the table is for 4 pax but lecturer jus ask me clear 3 pax..

included the lecturer's set.. but is empty de la.. jus pretending niah.

i mus carry all the 3 plate together in my arm.. lol.. 2gether wif cutlery..

but finally i drop 1 knife.. haha >< minus mark oledi lo..

then will have Q&A too.. the question she asked is quite confusing me..

but at least i can answer it without diam diam.. haha

3rd part is identify the different type of cutlery and glassware..

in inluded functions oso lo.. 5 questions i oso managed to answer!

thats all for my F&B practical exam.. i not even knw the marks until now =.=lll

16/11/2009 : culinary and kitchen operations

wow! this is my 2nd practical exam.. in the kitchen..

haiz... this 1 is the most scary exam for me.. lol... ><

the menu v need to cook for that day is the white chicken stew and pilaf rice..

haiz.. damn difficult de lo... even each person just do 1 portion..

but oledi make me feelc stressfull... and.. the lecturer..

actualy help us a lot.. he keep on reminding us.

if not our marks.. realy... haiz.. =.=

finally i get 76/90.. 3rd highest in my group

but im stil not so satisfy wif it..

bcz of my shalot burn so i minus 3 marks..

if not i think i can get 79/90 de lo.. >< haha

17/11/2009 : Baking and Pastry

yoo hoo.. this is the most syok n relaxing class for us..

erm.. so this practical exam is quite nice. i like it so muc

haha... v oso need to chose a recepi in the box..

then start to bake and do watever u get frm it...

mine is crepe filled with caramelized apple and shantily cream

yummy... but too sweet for me lo.. i dont like sweet stuff..

this is one of the recepi that consider as easier abit.. haha

i know how to do it.. so i did it very well ... ^^

and finally.. i get 80/100... which is the highest in my group

lecturer said i did it vry well.. haha.. im so happy wif what im done

18/11/2009 : POS final exam

yoyo... POS= Point Of Sale.. which is the casier job

on the computer.. teach us how to use the cashier computer and the function

its quite easy n fun for me.. i like it too..

haha.. for the mid-term i get 50/50

this time i duno how muc i can get frm it.. lol..

but i did extra thng when i check my answer.

haiz.. 1st time i check answer then do sumthg wrongly liao

damn it.. nex time i wont check for it again after i done it!!!

p/s: the thing only will PERFECT if u LOVE it.. so..

     plz LOVE watever u LOVE to make it PERFECT
